Happy Monday Honey Bee Friends! Can I admit something to you? I have been in a bit of a creative rut lately. Not sure if it’s the icky weather of the Northeast, or getting up every night with my teething almost 2 year old, but I was lucky enough this weekend to have my hubby watch her so I could participate in a virtual online crop through Project Life Card Swaps group on Facebook. I spent part of today working on a set of cards for a Project Life page of my daughter’s first taste of a box of chocolates. We did a little photo shoot on Valentine’s day and I let her go to town trying a few and drooling chocolate down her shirt.
True to crop fashion…I took my photos on my craft mat and dining table in horrible lighting! But I wanted to share with you what I created from one piece of cardstock, few sheets of paper from a 6×6 pad, a sheet of cardstock stickers, and some chocolate brown embellishments–and of course my Honey Bee Stamps “Cherish” and “Oh, Snap.”
On these two 3×4 cards I used the cute little heart cluster stamp from “Oh, Snap!” as an accent. Then I created a Title card with the sentiments from the “Cherish” set.
My next post, I hope to pull it all together and show you the finished Project Life layout with some more stamped accents and of course the adorable chocolate eating photos of my daughter! Moral of the story, next time you are in a creating rut, pick up some photos you love to inspire you, and remember less is more…use just a few sheets of coordinating paper, stamps and embellishments so you aren’t overwhelmed. Challenge yourself to use all your little scraps and strips and you may be surprised how it will come together on a layout! I can’t wait to show you the finished product!
