Last fall I was in Salt Lake City for a road trip gathering with Kathy Racoosin’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I was invited to join Kathy, and several other crafty friends, to see the Christopher Robin Movie. It was beyond cute! Honey Bee had just come out with the Bill The Bear Stamp Set. Honestly, I can’t help but see Winnie the Pooh every time that I color him. So…of course I had to alter the vest a bit…and voila! I give you Bill the “Pooh” Bear. I believe that he is Winnie’s second cousin…twice removed! LOL

I stamped the bear and other images, from the Bill The Bear Stamp Set, with Ranger’s Black Archival Ink, onto Tim Holtz Watercolor cardstock. The buttons on the vest were masked off with a piece of tape and then inked up. (Don’t forget to remove the inky tape before stamping the image.) I also stamped a balloon and a string from the Celebration Box Stamp Set.
Everything was watercolored using Distress Inks and #2, #4, and #6 DaVinci Cosmotop Spin brushes.
The images were cut using the coordinating Bill The Bear Die Set and the Celebration Box Die Set.
To create a background, I laid down a piece of low tack Purple Tape to mark the horizon. The cloud stencil, from the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil Set, Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, and Picket Fence Life Changing Brushes were used to create a summer sky filled with puffy clouds.
I repositioned the tape to cover the sky and used Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, and a touch of Vintage Photo Distress Ink to create the meadow.
I cut the panel out using the second largest die from the Deckle Edge A2 Die Set. I cut three more pieces from scrap cardstock. They were stacked and glued together using a Hero Arts Glue Pen. All the pieces were reassembled onto a #110 Neenah Solar Crest Cardstock folded cardbase.
The vest was adhered to the bear with a small piece of Scotch Foam Tape under it to puff it out a little bit. All the other images were glued into place. The short red vest, the butterfly on his nose, the log, the honey jar, and the red balloon are all signature images from the book and movie.
I wanted to include a popular “Pooh” quote so I printed one off on my computer. It was layered onto a piece of black cardstock. I placed a small piece of supporting Scotch Foam Tape behind the sentiment and images that extended over the raised edge.
He turned out even cuter than I could have hoped for. Can’t you just hear him saying, “Oh bother!” or “As soon as I saw you, I knew an Adventure was going to happen!”?
