Use a 2-for-1 technique to get a jumpstart on creating Christmas cards!

I know it’s only July but I’ve got holidays on the brain! I make bunches of cards all the time but holiday rush always gets me. The Christmas cards that I plan, purchase for and sometimes even start…go right out the window!

I’m trying to start a collection of holiday cards well in advance this year with a 2-for-1 technique! While I’m creating summer cards, I’m using the same card design and same supplies to create a Christmas card too!

Here’s a quick rundown of how I created these two cards…

I inked the backgrounds, stamped & die cut my images. I used Playful Pups, Pawsome Sentiments (for “birthday”), Pinky the Pig (for the party hat), and Season’s Tweetings (for the Santa hat & “Christmas”).

Then I colored my images.

For these cards, I paired stamped & die cut words. The “happy” is from the Merry Christmas die set multiple times and layered together to make a dimensional embellishment. To match my projects, I colored some little scraps of white cardstock. Finally they got a good coating of glittery Nuvo Drops.

And to complete the cards, I assembled it all together with one birthday pup and one Christmas!

Have a happy day!
