Hello crafty friends! I think we can all agree that Honey Bee Stamps offers some of the best stand alone die sets for creating unique cards.  Today I’m showcasing one of the newest… the Cottage Window Honey Cuts.  I’ve used a mix of new and previously released products to create my window scene including some of the new pattern paper.

I started with an A7 card base. I covered the front with a grey woodgrain pattern paper from The Bee’s Knees 6×6 paper pad.  I die cut the frame, window box, and shutters for the Cottage Window  from white card stock. I used some grey Copic markers to add shading to the window pieces. I backed the window frame with clear acetate to give it a more realistic look.  The curtains were die cut out of a floral pattern from the Spring Fling paper pad.

I stamped and Copic colored two kitties and two butterflies from Oh My Whiskers.  I then added the kitties behind the window frame as if they are sitting inside on the window sill looking out at the butterflies.  I filled the window box with flowers I die cut and Copic colored.  The flower dies are from the Bunch of Bouquets Honey Cuts.  I backed the opening in between the curtains with mint green card stock and then adhered all the pieces to the window scene to the card base with dimensional foam squares.  Lastly I added a die cut and stamped greeting using the Welcome Home stamps and coordinating Honey cuts.

Great idea to create just a smidgen of shading on the window. I really had to look to find it because it looked so natural. Don’t you just love what a Copic will do?!
