Hello everyone!!  I’m excited to share this card with you today.  Just like last week, I combined some new with old to create my card.  What I love about this release, is that it all works amazingly well with all the products in the shop!!!

In my last Happy Honey Mail, I received the Ten Things stamp set and co-ordinating Honey Cuts.  I’ve wanted this set for awhile.  I LOVE the feathers in this set.

I tried something a little different today as far as colouring goes.  I used a variety of Distress Inks and a Dove Blender Pen.  I stamped the feathers onto some watercolour paper with Black Archival Ink from Ranger.  After smooshing a few different colours onto a slick surface, I simple dipped the tip of the Blender Pen in the ink and applied to the image.  I started where I wanted the colour to be the darkest and as you colour, the ink on the pen fades out.  I then used the co-ordinating dies to cut them out.

For the background of the card, I wanted to try a technique I seen Kristina Werner do.  I chose a polka dot stencil and placed it directly onto my cardbase.  I used a light grey ink for the dots. Then, I moved the stencil slightly lower and to the left.  I took my white gel pen and traced the circles of the stencil.  This creates the coolest 3-D effect!!

As you can see, I used the new Hooray Day Honeycuts for the word congratulations.  I die cut the shadow from white cardstock and the word from watercolour paper.  I used my blender pen and remaining ink to add colour to the congratulations.  I adhered everything with foam adhesive.

To finish off, I added some Clear Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to sections of the feather.  And to add some much needed sparkle, I used some Sticky Back Rhinestones.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my project for this week!  See you soon!!
