Confetti Fun First Birthday Card
Good morning honey bees! Happy Monday! I’d like to share a card I made for my niece’s first birthday–which is TODAY! I can’t believe it’s been a year already! I made this card with Honey Bee’s Brush Grunge Alpha and Beautiful Life stamp sets. I want you to see how easy it is to make a super fun personalized card featuring a favorite photo and embellishing it with a stamped background and sentiments–and in this case some sequins to add a little party-worthy-bling!
This card is a little larger than a 4×6 print. I matted my photo onto pink paper and cut around it with scallop scissors to make a fun edge. The happy birthday and ONE sentiments along with the “Splat” behind the ONE were stamped using the Brush Grunge Alpha set on white paper and matted onto black. I punched a scallop circle to make the ONE sentiment pop.
On the card base itself, I stamped the sequin stamp from the Beautiful Life set all around the border of the card before I glued anything on. I used shades of pink and black–because her birthday party theme was Minnie Mouse! The photo is one I took for her Cake Smash session a few weeks ago so I was hoping to surprise her mom.
I used tiny glue dots to adhere sequins to the card to finish it off. The birthday girl and her mom loved her card at her party on Saturday! It makes a super fun and easy card to use a photo as your focal point, a sequin or confetti stamp from Beautiful Life to random stamp your own background paper pattern or photo border, and the Grunge Alpha set can help you create and personalize any sentiment you need! You could use this same concept with a family photo for holiday cards for the special people in your lives! Enjoy!
