Happy Peak of the Week everyone!! I’m back to share a card, that I believe could be used for many occasions. I thought it would particularly well for a baby, wedding or graduation card.
I started by picking a few of my favourite images from the Not Too Shabby stamp set. Those are, of course, the mason jar and the bouquet of flowers. I used the Not Too Shabby Honey Cuts to cut out the images. I knew I wanted to place the flowers “inside” the jar, so before I coloured, I placed the stems on top of the jar and with a pencil, simply drew stems that matched up with the bouquet.
After the jar was coloured, I used my craft knife to cut a small slit in the lid, so I could slide the bouquet image through.
I decided to use the Cherish stamp set for the sentiment. This is a fantastic little set that lets you create your own sentiments. It also has awesome florals in it!! I stamped the large “cherish” word in black ink and used the Co-ordinating Die to cut it out. I chose “this” and “moment” from this set and stamped them onto strips of white cardstock.
I ended up matting the sentiment strips with pink patterned paper to give them a bit more definition, as my card panel and base are also white. I used a scalloped frame die and cut out multiple pieces to create a thicker frame. The top piece of the frame is the same pink patterned paper used to mat the sentiment. For the card panel, I decided to use a polka dot embossing folder to add a bit of dimension.
Now onto the assembly!! Everything was adhered using foam adhesive and Multi Medium in Matte. And the finishing details included a Clear Wink of Stella pen and a touch of Glossy Accents!! You will come to find out that not one of my cards is complete without glitter and shine!
There is also an adorable heart in the Cherish stamps and dies. I simple used the die to create a few embellishments!
I hope you enjoyed my project for today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
