Hello, Honey Bee friends! Melissa Bickford with you today. I’m so happy and excited to be back for another term with Honey Bee Stamps. Each month I will be sharing my favorite kind of cards to create … clean and simple with LOTS of color!
So for today, I chose to create a set of five cards using the Smile stamp + die collection, along with the flowers from Busy Bee. These two sets have a permanent spot on my desk right now. They are getting lots of love from me! 🙂
To begin my set of cards, I prepped all of my card bases and set them aside. Next, I trimmed five pieces of white card-stock to measure 3.5 x 4.75″. I then die-cut the word ‘Smile’ out of each one and filled in the negative space with another die-cut ‘Smile’, this time die-cutting out of colored card-stock.
Now, onto the flowers. I stamped around the border of the sentiment, alternating colors until they were all filled in. I added white twine around each of the flower panels before adhering them to a colorful card-stock panel. These ones measure 3.75 x 5″. Those were then all attached to my card bases.
To finish each one, I stamped the remainder of the sentiment, ‘Sending you a’, in white onto a strip of black card-stock and adhered it with dimensional foam. I thought the flower centers needed a little something, so for a final touch I added a bit of sparkly glitter to each one.
I hope you enjoyed my colorful cards for today. Thanks so much for popping in to visit with us!
Have a wonderful day!
