Hello there everyone and happy Tuesday.
Today I’m sharing with you a fun way to use a sentiment on a card by ‘camouflaging’ it. As you can see it’s barely visible when looking straight on only when you tilt it do you see it properly- shhh it’s easier to see in real life so I would love for you to give this technique a go and see for yourself.
I printed the bouquet from Zen Bouquet but you could stamp in black ink with the actual stamp and then coloured the image using Copics and then some pencil shading- as you see I only used about a half of the stamp so you could probably get 2 cards out of this one piece.
Once I was happy with the image I die-cut the ‘Smile Die’ out of it in the place I wanted it. I then stuck the coloured panel down onto my card base without the ‘smile’. I cut from more using the ‘smile’ die out of white card. I placed one of the white ‘smile’ die-cuts in place of the ‘smile’ I cut out from the coloured piece and then added the coloured ‘land-locked areas’ back into place- these being inside the ‘s’, ‘l’ and ‘e’.
I then stacked up and glued together the white ‘smile’ die-cuts and then added the coloured ‘smile’ on top creating a stacked die-cut word and then added this on top of the white ‘smile’ I glued down before.
To finish I added a Wink of Stella and some Glossy Accents to the top of the ‘smile’ stacked die-cut’.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you again soon.
Hugs, Lydia x
