Hello friends! Leanne here today.  I think we all can agree, when a friend or family member far away is in need of a hug,  sending a handmade card with a heartfelt greeting is the next best thing.  I pulled out the Chin Up Buttercup stamp set to pair with the Hugs Honey Cuts for my version of a paper hug to send to a friend.

I started with an A2 size card base and covered the front with some green check pattern paper.  I trimmed a panel of white card stock to slightly smaller than A2 size.  I used a die from the Stacking Hearts Honey Cuts to cut out an opening in the panel.  I blended some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink onto the heart die cut which serves as the backdrop for the flower cluster.

I Copic colored the Buttercups and leaves. I cut out two Hugs – one from white card stock and one red violet card stock.  I layered the the two slightly askew and adhered to the card front with small foam squares.  Lastly for a little embellishment, I added a some gems from the Cupcake Rhinestone Mix.
