Hello, crafty friends! It’s Melissa B here with you this morning to kick off a new week of Honey Bee inspiration. This is the time of year where things start to get busy for all of us and finding time to create, in the midst of all of the holiday excitement, can be somewhat difficult. That’s when good ole CAS, one layer cards come in. Cards like these make it so easy to still get that creative time in each day. I don’t know about you, but I feel like my day isn’t quite complete unless I’ve spent at least 15-20 minutes in my studio creating something pretty. So for today, I thought I would share a sweet CAS card using the new Blah Humbunny stamp set that took me roughly 15 minutes to create!
White cardstock in my best friend. I use white card bases more than any other color! It’s all about those pops of COLOR for me. 🙂
I started by stamping the string of Christmas lights along the top portion of my card and colored them in using the Copics you see in the photos. Next, I stamped the bunny in black and colored in just his nose and the beds of his paws. After stamping my sentiment I wanted to add a few extras so I stamped, colored and die cut the Santa hat and gift. So I guess, technically this wouldn’t be *exactly* a one layer card, but close enough. 😉
Here’s a closer peek at Bah Humbunny and the Copic colors I used. I hope you enjoyed my simple card for today. Are you a fan of CAS or more detailed cards?
Have a wonderful day!
