Hi peeps! How’s thing going? Vera here today. This past week been such a crazy week for me. Last Tuesday we moved to our new home and boy, all I could say moving is a pain! My craft room still a mess. I haven’t been able to craft at all. For today’s post I made it right before the move and I want to apologize in advance if the picture is not the best. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to re-take the pic as I had o get my room packed.
Anyway, am still into the mermaid, so for today’s post I made a mermaid birthday shaker card.
I start by stamping the bottle image on a piece of cardstock panel that I cut slightly smaller than the card base and then die cut the inside. Stamp sentiment. Then I laid a piece of acetate behind the opening, add some double tape and then carefully place some Ocean Shell Sequin Mix, Bokeh Light Confetti Mix and Atlantic Ocean Shaker Kit on top of the card base and carefully placed the panel with stamped image on top of it. Since the sand is super fine, it’s very important to make sure there’s no gap between your double tape as the sand will come out if there’s a slight gap (yep, i am speaking from first hand experience… hah!!).
Once that done, I worked on the wave for the bottle. Stamped, die cu and colored it with Copic and I simply adhere it on top of the acetate piece. Then did the same process with the mermaid. I chose to use the mermaid from Ocean Bliss set. I adhere the mermaid to the card with pop-dots for extra depth and finished by adding some sequins from Mermaid Sequin mix.
Again, sorry for the shadowy look on the picture. By the time I realize it, I already packed everything and for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out which box contained this card. Sorrryyy…. I hope you still enjoy the card.
That’s all for me today. Thank you for stopping by here and may your Thursday be a great one. Cheers….
