Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today. I have a cutie little piglet to share with you. I love the storybook feel of the critter illustrations from our last release. So cute! I needed a birthday card for a soon-to-be 5 year old, and I thought she’d love the punny sentiment! Let’s get started on the details.
I started by stamping Pinky the Pig, her bow, and a cupcake onto some white card stock using Copic-friendly ink. I die cut them out using the coordinating dies, then used my Copic markers to add some color. (If you follow me on Instagram, I had to stamp my cupcake and bow twice, because I had a little coloring elf in my office when I wasn’t looking! Haha.)
After Pinky was all colored, I began working on the background. I used the cloud stencil from Outdoor Scene Builders and blended some white pigment ink using my blending tool to create some subtle, fluffy white clouds. I then die cut a piece of white picket fence from some woodgrain cardstock. I also die cut a grass border from some pretty dark teal card stock.
I layered the different die cuts on the cloudy card front using dimensional adhesive, then added a sentiment from Ham It Up using Versafine ink.
Well, that’s all for me today! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a marvelous weekend!
