Hi, all! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with a birthday card that packs a punch inside. It features some very over-sized, bright balloons. It’s festive, bold and fun to make and send. It fits nicely inside an A7 (5″ X 7″ card size) envelope for mailing. By the way, this card requires NO COLORING! What?!

I’m using the following products from Honey Bee Stamps.

Balloon Card Border die set

Balloon Bunch XL die set

Birthday stamp and die set

Party die set

Birthday Bash 6″ X 6″ paper pad

To create this card, I die cut the card base by cutting a 5″ wide X 11″ long strip from cardstock. I scored 7″ from bottom. I added the confetti pattern paper to the 5″ wide X 4″ panel and used the border die (middle size) to create the balloon border top flap. I also added the candle paper to the larger, bottom panel on the inside of the card. The scripty word, “party” was die cut and added to the front panel.

Next, I die cut three large balloons. To create space for a personal message, I die cut the center balloon from folded cardstock with a top fold. For the outer two balloons, I placed them on my regular-sized Scor-Pal at an angle so that the balloon tie was pointing to the far bottom corner and scored each one 2-1/2″ in from the opposite side of the tie. Strings and bows were die cut from black cardstock and added to all three balloons (with bows on both sides). Black stitching lines were added to the fold-in sections using a fine-tip marker.

The outer balloons were positioned on the inside panel with the score lines lining up with the outer edges of the card. The middle balloon was positioned in the center. The phrase was added to the center balloon (“birthday” is a die cut and the other words were heat embossed). I used Pearl Pen in coordinating colors to add confetti to the top of the balloons.

The fuchsia balloon opens to reveal a personal message inside or a stash of cash. 🙂 If you’re going to send wishes, make them big and bold! How fun is that?
