Hello stamping friends! Today I’m playing with several new products from the recent Bee Bold Release from Honey Bee Stamps. With the size and scale of the images from the Bill the Bear Stamp Set and Birds and the Bees Stamp Set, I knew I couldn’t use them together without creating a bigger card. Luckily, Honey Bee makes A7 sized basic dies like the new Scallop A7 Card Frames which make creating a larger card super easy! I used my favorite Outdoor Scene Builder Stencils to create the perfect backdrop to this sweet little bear and bees scene!
The bear, vest, hat, cattails, honey jar, tree stump, bees, and mushroom from the Bill the Bear Stamp Set and the branch, bee hive, leaves, and bees from the Birds and the Bees Stamp Set were stamped on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The images were colored in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut with the coordinating Bill the Bear Dies and Birds and the Bees Dies.
A background panel was die cut from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Scallop A7 Card Frame. Clouds were inked with the cloud Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. A mountain border was stenciled with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink and a “grassy” border was inked with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Ink.
The scene was assembled on the A7 background as shown and glitter details were added to the bee’s wings and mushrooms with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard, texture was added to the bee hive with Nuvo Crystal Drops in English Mustard, and black and white pens were used to add detail to the bear’s eyes.
