Hello everyone!  My name is Andrea Bjork (AKA @andiebjork on Instagram) and I am very honored to be a guest on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog today!  I am sharing my latest Bible Journaling entry in Psalm 89 using the Message In A Bottle and Ocean Borders stamp sets.

I chose Psalm 89:9-11 to journal.  You rule the oceans. You subdue their storm-tossed waves.  You crushed the great sea monster. You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.   The heavens are Yours, and the earth is Yours; everything in the world is Yours—You created it all.  This verse reminded me of Bethel Music’s song “It Is Well.”  I chose to quote a lyric from their song for my page: The waves and wind still know His name.  In a world where things seem to be out of control, we can rely on a God who is in ultimate control!

To begin this page I knew I wanted to use the smaller waves border for the bottom of my page.  I stamped it on cardstock and watercolored the waves using both Neocolor II Crayons and Illustrated Faith watercolors.  I decided to double layer the waves so I repeated this process twice and cut out both to glue onto the page.

After getting my waves ready I made sure I had a backing behind my page to start stamping to prevent bleed through onto other pages.  For this entry I simply used a piece of cardstock.  My ink preference for Bible Journaling is Stazon Ink. Both of these stamps sets are adorable! I used the bottle and note stamps to start.

After stamping and watercoloring the bottle, I added the double row of waves to the bottom of my page with a glue stick.

I quickly spaced out with a pencil where I wanted the lettering to go and then used alpha stickers and clear stamps to put the lyric onto the page. To pull the page together I put 2 matching washi tapes on the top of the page and added a tab with words from the Message In A Bottle Set.

Thank you again for allowing me to share this page process and use these fun stamps!
