Good morning! Emily Midgett with you here today with a fairly quick and easy card. I will be honest; this week’s post crept up on me a little. My little ones have been sick non-stop for what feels like forever, and I honestly wasn’t sure half the time what day it was these past few weeks! But I was able to come up with a cute little card using an older, but still darling, set called Flakey Friends. Combine one of the sweet images with some sparkly patterned paper and voila, cute little card, perfect for a friend, spouse, child, you name it! Who doesn’t like bear hugs, right?

I started by stamping the adorable bear from Flakey Friends onto some watercolor paper using waterproof ink, adding the sweet greeting and bow tie, and watercolored him with my Zig markers. In order to add a little more visual balance, I also added that cute little heart from the Flakey Friends set at the bottom! I die cut the watercolor panel using the Stitched Rectangles, then added a black mat around the edge, finally mounting the panel with foam tape on a piece of A2 sized striped glitter patterned paper.

Super simple, but sometimes a sweet little bear hug is just what the doctor ordered, right?

Hope you have a marvelous weekend!
