Since this week is all about mixing and matching the animal sets, I’ve used a bunch of the different ones to create a party scene on my card.

I started with a card base that measures 9 inches tall by 4 inches wide. For the ink blended background, I used Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink for the top two thirds and Twisted Citron for the bottom. I then generously splattered the background with water and thinned ink to give the look of confetti.
When I think of a party theme, I think of bright festive colors so I used some of the brightest Copics I had to color the images. I used a white gel pen to add highlights and pattern details. I arranged the images to create the scene but before adhering, I stamped the sentiment, balloon strings, and bug trails directly to the background. I then secured the images in place with glue dots.

Wow! I am always in awe of great coloring on cards. I need to practice! Seems everyone is releasing so many cute lil’ animals this spring. My wish list is toooo long!!

Little animals take me to my small days when i would make up stories involving animals to put my baby sister to sleep.
