I heat embossed the balloons from the Celebration Box stamp set onto white card stock with detail white embossing powder, then sponged several of the new Distress Oxide inks over them. After I was done sponging the ink I sprayed them all with water, let the inks react then wicked it all away with a paper towel.
I did the same method for the box – sponged ink onto the card stock, sprayed with water then pressed with a paper towel. I then used the dies from the Celebration Box set to create the box and the flaps (LOVE that those are included in the set – just makes for a fun element). I also used the coordinating balloon dies to die cut all the balloons.
I attached white thread to all the balloons and slipped all the ends of the threads “inside” the box via the nifty slit the die cuts in it – so they all look like they’re floating out of the open box.
The sentiment was die cut from white card stock, with the “bubble” portion being cut from vellum.
I finished off the inside of the card by adding some more balloons (this time stamping the strings with black ink), and stamping a sentiment from the Hooray stamp set. I used all the same Distress Oxide inks to ink up the word ‘birthday’ before stamping it inside the card and that was it!
