Hi crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I have this love themed card to share with you! I was in need for a wedding card so decided to make one with bunch of new Honey Bee Stamps products. I was so excited for the new release I used four sets!

Here are the new products I used for this project:
Birds: Love Is In the Air (stamp & die)
Bird house: Bird House A2 Card Base (dies)
Flowers and leaves: Lovely Layers: Roses (die)
Sentiments: Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine (stamp & die)

I first die cut all the piece I needed for the bird house and florals. For both of the sets, it is quite easy to figure out how to assemble, but there are colored guides available when you go to the Honey Bee Stamps shop page and look up each set. For the bird house, I used pale pink card stock for the house base and stamped some woodgrain pattern with pink ink using Woodgrain Background stamp. This is an extra step, but really adds nice detail. Once you die cut all the pieces you want  to use, it is super easy to put together. I really love that the sets includes some small detail pieces and the roof trim and the door have woodgrain texture. I die cut the flowers from cream card stock and added some green and pink inks with my blending brushes. The leaves were cut from green card stock and I added some green inks to make them look a bit dimensional. The birds are stamped on white card stock with No Line Coloring ink and colored with Copics and die cut with the coordinating dies.

The background is a piece of watercolor card stock cut to 5” x 7”. I first use the largest die from A7 Double Stitched Frames die set to add some stitching line. This is also an extra step but this will add nice white frame all around. I set aside the frame and lightly blended some blue ink on the panel (mainly to the top) and added some blue splatter. After gluing both the frame and the panel to the 5” x 7” card base, I adhered all the die cuts with Precision Tip Glue and foam tapes. The word “always” is die cut three times from white card stock and once from pale pink card stock. I colored the pink one with pink Copic markers (only on the bottom) to add some texture. The ‘shadow’ was die cut from velum and I added one layer of white and then the pink die cut on top. Since part of the word lay on top of the bird house, I added two white die cuts on the back of the shadow piece (only where it doesn’t overlap with the bird house) so it will lay flat. The additional sentiment was stamped with pink ink on white card stock and cut to a strip and adhered with some foam adhesives.

To add an extra texture (my cards are always full of these “extra” steps LOL), I added some acrylic hearts and applied Glossy Accents to the eyes and beaks.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!!
