Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today. I have a bright, cheerful card using that darling Mae the Mouse and the super sweet (literally) Piece of Cake! I thought the scale was perfect to combine the two stamp sets and create a little patisserie chef mousie!

I began by stamping Mae, her little hat, apron, the cupcake, and stand using Copic-friendly black ink, then coloring all of the images with Copic markers using a cheerful aqua and berry color scheme. (If you follow me on Instagram @eamidgett, you saw a sneak peek of these colored images for The Daily Marker 30 Day!) I think this color scheme would be perfect for a masculine Valentine’s Day card!

After I’d finished coloring all of the images, I die cut LOVE from some berry cardstock using the Bee Bold alphabet dies. I also stamped the rest of the greeting (from Piece of Cake) onto some strips of white card stock. I arranged all of the die cut pieces and sentiment strips onto an aqua A2 card front, then adhered them with a combination of liquid and dimensional foam adhesive.

The background was looking a little spare, so I used one of the little heart stamps in the Piece of Cake stamp set to stamp some tone-on-tone hearts to create a subtly interesting background. I also added a few Moonlight jewels for some sparkle!

Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you enjoyed this project…. the sweet little mouse is so versatile… I can’t wait to see her dressed up for all sorts of holidays and occasions! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous weekend!
