Hello Bee crafters! This is Bobbi Lemanski sharing a cute pet card for turtle lovers. I have never had a pet turtle, but since living on the lake, we have seen the cutest turtles sunbathing on a large rock right off our shoreline. I have become a turtle-lover because they are so adorable! My turtle card features the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Wood Plank 3D Embossing Folder

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I die cut the turtle, terrarium, and terrarium add-ons from a khaki (tank structure and wood features), blue (background of tank), two colors of green (turtle and leaves), a warm gray (rocks) and white (sand bottom). I used Copic markers YG67, YG17, YG63 and YG03 to add extra details and shading to the turtle’s shell and the leaves. I used E42, E53 and E40 for the sand along with a fine tip marker and white Gelly Roll pen. For the wood accessories, I used earthy brown colors like E59, E57, E55, E42 and E44. Warm grays, W5, W4, W3 and W1 were used for the rocks.

I assembled the turtle, using a foam tab between the turtle’s body and shell to make the animal more dimensional.

I attached the turtle and accessories to create the scene inside the tank. I added some wood graining to the tank at the bottom and top using Copic colors E57, E55 and E53.

I used the Wood Plank 3D Embossing Folder to create a backdrop for this tank. I embossed a warm gray cardstock and covered the front of the 5″ X 7″ card. I attached the tank and cut extra leaves to embellish the tank and the card front a bit more. This card is ready for your turtle lover!
