Hi there, Honey Bees! Kimberly here today to share a simple spring card, perfect for Easter, or just to say hi to a special friend!
I began by stamping the bouquet from the Not Too Shabby stamp set and the butterfly from Thanks on watercolor paper and coloring with Zig Real Brush Watercolor markers. I added a bit of a light blue outline and faded it out to add some depth. I die cut my image with a circle die, leaving some room to the left to stamp the sentiment. Once it was cut, I was able to position the ‘hi’ fromSweet As Honey perfectly. I added the watercolored circle to a lacy circle mat. For added interest, I embossed my white background with a woven embossing folder and added some purple bakers twine through the scallops on the mat. The whole panel was foam mounted to a white 5.25′ x 5.25′ card base. I love square cards, but don’t make them very often!
Hope I’ve inspired you to break out your Honey Bee Stamps and watercolor something pretty! I’ll see you again next week, crafty friends!
