Good morning, friends! It’s Melissa B here to start your week with some Honey Bee goodness!

Today, I have a card to share using one of the new sets, Acorn Sisters. Is this set not the sweetest? I have a little confession to make though…images that require coloring kind of intimidate me. I love them so, but I always find myself staring at the image for a bit, building up my courage to dive in and start coloring. But honestly, once I begin, I LOVE it. And I just love the end result of my coloring on these sweet sisters.

I started by stamping my image on a piece of watercolor paper, in black ink. Then, using my Zig Real Brush Markers, I began my coloring. After getting those sweet girls colored in, I wanted to add a little extra detail, so I pulled out my white gel pen and went to town on their outfits. Flowers, polka dots and hearts were added before I moved on to stamping my sentiment, Sending A Season of Blessings. To complete it, I stamped and colored in the bird before attaching the card panel to my card base with dimensional foam!

Does coloring intimidate you at all? If it does, try not to let it. Just relax, grab a hot cup of your favorite beverage, turn on your favorite tunes and just have fun with it. That’s exactly what I do!

Thanks so much for spending part of your Monday with us. Enjoy your day!
