Hello, Bee friends. I’m so excited to share a sneak peek of the new Honey Bee Stamps release, “Pet-tastic.” This new release is filled with all things related to pets including the pets themselves! Big dogs, little dogs, cats, hamsters, turtles and more… they are all part of this release. I am a dog lover so I chose to share a sneak of just one of the dogs in the release, but there are lots of breeds that are part of this release. The new Pet-tastic release will go live on 2/28/2025 after the Live Release Party on YouTube at 8:00 pm EST. Note: Links to the products listed below will be available once the release goes live.

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To create this 5″ X7″ card, I started by die cutting all the elements of the medium-sized dog, dog bed, tennis ball, dog food bowl and bone. I used the handy Layering Guide to create this sweet multi-layered dog. I used various shades of brown, following the layering guide. I cut the dog bed from a rose pink cardstock and used the following Copic Sketch markers to color the bed: R89, R29, R17, R14 and a white gel pen. The tennis ball was cut from a medium green and the bone and dog bowl, a natural white cardstock.

For the background, I used Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base. I created an interior room scene background by using one of the super cute pattern papers from the FREE BEE pack. This pack is free with a $100 purchase (while supplies last). I added beadboard to the bottom half of the interior wall using white cardstock strips that I cut from scraps. I also added a floor using a warm gray cardstock.

The dog, dog bed, bowl, ball and bone was attached to the room scene. I added a “picture” on the wallpapered wall using a sentiment from the You’ve Got a Friend stamp set. I hand drew in two paw prints and added a black frame from cardstock, around the sentiment. I attached it to the wall using black and white twine. Lastly, I added a sentiment to the card from the Pet-tastic stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies that says, “Thank you for pet sitting.”
