Good morning! Emily Midgett back again today with another project for you… this time focusing on the new United We Flourish release collaboration with Ellen Hutson. I absolutely adore the fonts used in all of Honey Bee’s calligraphic dies, so I wanted that to be the focus of my project today. Let’s get started!

I wanted to create a sunny background for my sentiment focal point, so I pulled out some pretty yellow inks, some Nuvo Glimmer Paste, and the Ocean Scene Builder stencil set. I started by blending the two different shades of yellow with my blending tools, then using a spatula, smeared some of that stunning Glimmer Paste over the top of the darker color. I hadn’t cleaned off my stencil in between applying the layer of ink and the layer of Glimmer Paste, so the paste mixed with the leftover yellow ink and turned the paste yellow… definitely a happy accident!

I set my card base aside to dry and turned my attention to the greeting. I started by die cutting the detailed scripty portion of the die set included in the Sending Sunshine stamp and die set three times from some lovely lemony card stock, then adhered all of them together to create a dimensional die cut. I cut a few strips of white card stock and stamped the coordinating sentiments in some black ink, then popped them up at higgledy-piggledy angles around my dimensional die cut greeting.

The final flourish was to add some beautiful rhinestone embellishments from the amazing Unicorn Rhinestone mix down the front. I love the huge variety of colors and sizes you get in the bag of embellishments. So versatile!

And that’s it! Fairly monochromatic, but I think that only helps to further highlight the pretty sentiment. We could all use a little more sunshine in our lives.

Hope you all have a marvelous weekend!
