Hi peeps! Happy Thursday. Vera here. One of my favorite kind of card to make is shaker card. I mean, who doesn’t love receiving shaker card? I love making it as much as I love receiving them.

For my card today, I play with the fabulous Message In A Bottle set to make this shaker card in one of my favorite color combo.

To make this card, I started by stamping the bottle and the wave inside the bottle on a panel. I colored the wave with Copic markers. I just love the way the wave coloring came out. Followed by stamping the sentiment. Good thing to remember when doing shaker card, to stamp the sentiment before you adhere the panel. It happened to me a few times where I forgot to stamp the sentiment before I did the shaker and ended up struggling to stamp the sentiment evenly.

Once the coloring done, I fussy cut the inside to create the opening for the shaker card (I made this card before I got the dies, so in case you want to skip the fussy cut, you can use the Message In A Bottle dies). I love fussy cutting, but when in time crunch it’s always nice to have the dies. 😉

I laid out the Mermaid sequin mix and make sure they pile around the opening on the bottle as I placed my foam tape right around the edge of the bottle. I do it this way to keep the sequins mix center around the opening and don’t slide all the way to the edge of the panel.

As usual, I had to add some shimmer to my card. Can you see the pretty shimmer on the wave? Isn’t it just gorgeous? I then stamped, colored and cut a few more images to embellish the bottle. I also add one pretty pearly shell sequin in the mix (from the new Coral Shell mix). And…. that’s it. Clean & simple, but it still pack some fun on it.

I hope you enjoy today’s inspiration as much as I enjoyed making it. Also, hopefully by now you have some of the new goodies in your possession and having fun playing with them. Tag Honey Bee if you share your creations on Instagram or FB. We love seeing your creations. That’s all from me today and may you day be a fabulous one. Cheers….
