Hi there! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here with an interactive card designed for adults. When I need a card for the “twenty somethings,” I tend to reach for a beverage or beach set. It seems most 21+ birthdays are often celebrated at the beach, on vacation or at a bar for these young adult socials (pre-covid, of course).

Two drink stamp sets that I’m repeatedly reaching for this summer are the NEW Honey Bee Stamps, Raise a Glass stamp and die sets and Sip Sip Hooray stamp and die sets. Both sets are part of the new Hello Summer release. I love a card that has an interactive feature or has some unique twist that is slightly unexpected. How do I make it fun, yet not too juvenile? Well, why not a drinking game?! Many adults love a good drinking game.

Drinking Game Card

Now, I know this drinking game will last a total of 5 seconds, but I think the fun is in the concept. That is, how many greeting cards have you seen that incorporate a drinking game in them? It makes the card relevant to their age and lifestyle. If nothing else, it will get a smile or chuckle. 🙂

For the outside of this card, I repeatedly stamped the three stem drinks on the front along with some garnishments. I call these “non-blended” drinks because I did not blend any of the drink colors! I simply used my Copics to create the stripes of colors. I think they look so fun and anybody can do this. I used the following Copic Marker colors for the drinks: YG00, Y35, R22, R29, BG23, YR68. Two phrases and a strawberry and lime slice were stamped together, cut out and added to the front with dimensional foam tabs, too.

Next, I stamped another three stem glass drinks for the inside and colored each one to match one of the drinks on the front. The drinking game goal is to find the drink on the outside panel of this card that matches a drink on the inside.

To make it easier to play the game, I created an easel card so that the front card panel or “game board” is viewable at the same time as the drinks inside. To make this 5″ X 7″ easel card, you need the following panel sizes cut from Neenah 80lb white cardstock:

• Qty 2 – 5″ wide X 7″ tall front and back panels (these will conceal the hinge)
• Qty 1 – 5″ wide X 8-1/2″ easel panel, scored at 1″ and 4-1/2″ and folded in a zigzag manner
• Qty 1 – 5″ wide X 3-1/2″ tall back covering for the front panel on the inside. This will cover up the Copic marker bleed from the front cover.

The 1″ scored section of the easel panel is attached to the back side of the inside panel and covered by the second back panel (like a sandwich so it is concealed and not visible). The front panel is attached to the easel panel – bottom half only (from the score line to the bottom.) This creates the easel. Here’s a video to show how it works.

I added the Monstera leaf to the inside to act as the “stopper/ledge” for the front panel easel when it is in the upright position. It works perfectly and looks pretty, too! Now the game board is fully viewable!

I stamped the phrase “Let’s mix it up” on the inside. I also added the drinking game directions (you could hand write this custom phrase or print it using your printer like I did here) and cute fruit that you’d see in drinks, around the words to finish the card. The fruity embellishments are my favorite clay bit find this year. How cute is those strawberry and orange slices? They are called Farmer’s Market Clay Bits.
