Hello Bee friends! Today, is my husband’s birthday and I made this card for him to celebrate his special day. We recently built our new house on Lake Wisconsin. We love being outdoors, watching the boats and enjoying a cocktail on the patio or pier. I loved that the new release by Honey Bee Stamps offers so many great products to convey that perfect summer day!

I’m using the following products by Honey Bee Stamps from the Sunkissed Summer release:

Beach, Please stamp set and coordinating Honey Cut die set

Lovely Layers: Cooler Honey Cut dies

Sunkissed Summer stamp set and coordinating Honey Cut die set

50 States Circles – Wisconsin stamp and 50 States Coordinating Honey Cut dies

The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this card, I cut out all the elements of the cooler using the Lovely Layers: Cooler Honey Cuts dies. I used cardstock in white, red, blue and taupe. I colored the beverages and ice and assembled the cooler. I set is aside for later.

Next, I stamped, colored and cut out the beach cabin scene from the Beach, Please stamp set. I used the coordinating die set to cut it out. I used Copic Sketch Markers to color the design.

I also stamped, cut, and colored, the 50 States Circles – Wisconsin stamp since my husband is a Wisconsin boy. I used the 50 States Coordinating Honey Cuts die to cut it out. I stamped the sentiments in black from the Sunkissed Summer stamp set and cut them out using the coordinating die set.

To assemble the card, I used a Blender Brush and Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass to create a soft sky on the upper front of my card. I attached the Beach, Please scene over the sky for the summer scene. Next, I added the assembled cooler below the scene using a Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab and also attached the Wisconsin badge to the side. I added the sentiments to the bottom to complete the card.
