Hello all! It’s Bobbi with a big bulldog birthday card today. Try saying that a few times! Crafters, this is an easy peasy card to make. It’s for when you need a card for your son’s friend that just invited you over for cake or a dog lover’s birthday. It’s QUICK and easy to make! I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Tail Waggers stamps (here’s the coordinating Honey Cuts dies if you would like them, too.)

Big Bold Birthday stamps and Honey Cuts dies

Belated Birthday stamps and Honey Cuts dies

Doggone Amazing stamps and (here’s the coordinating Honey Cuts dies if you would like them, too.)

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. Although I did not use these on my card today, my blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on backgrounds, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

To make this card, I started by cutting a 5″ X 7″ card front panel from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock. I stamped three bulldogs on the front of the card using my Bee Creative Intense Black Ink and the bulldog from the Tail Waggers stamps. I stamped three in a row using my MISTI. (You could also stamp, color and die cut three and place them on the card front to ensure proper placement.) With a ruler, I used a fine-tip ruler to draw a “floor” line between the inked dogs. I colored the dogs using Copic Markers: E57, E55, E53, R30 and C1.

With the Belated Birthday stamps and coordinating Honey Cuts dies, I stamped, colored and die cut three party hats and attached them to the heads of the dogs. I used B06, B02, B00, YR68, YR15, BG$(, BG11, Y19, Y08, R27, and R14 Copic Markers to color the party hats. I used the same markers to color some fun party “confetti” dots below the dog line for a festive look. I used a C1 to add a shadow under each colored dot.

Using the Big Bold Birthday stamps and Honey Cuts dies, I stamped, die cut, and positioned the sentiment on the card front. Notice that I cut the sentiment apart and placed the “Happiest of” ABOVE the dogs and the rest of the sentiment below the pups, over the confetti. I colored in the two “os” in “to you” for a little unexpected color. I stamped the sentiment from the Doggone Amazing stamp set, below the birthday message to finish the card. I think this card is just so fun with these dogs. I like it for any age or gender which makes it nice to have in your stash!

Bobbi, this may have been quick and easy but it sure doesn’t look like it. It’s so fun and adorable, and looks like you spent a ton of time on it! I really love it and I’m betting that anyone who receives it would too!
