Hello Bee Peeps. It’s Bobbi Lemanski bringing you a barrel of thanks today! I’m thankful for all of you who read our posts here and leave comments. It’s heartwarming! Today, I’m using new products from the Honey Bee Stamps Heartfelt Harvest release including a new stamp set, Grateful Gatherings, illustrated by the very talented Kelly Taylor from our design team. This set is beautiful and perfect for Autumn. I’m also using the following new items for this 5″ X 7″ card:
Give Thanks stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Apple Barrel Honey Cuts dies
Grateful Gatherings stamp set and Honey Cuts dies
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and and die cut pieces. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue to adhere my elements together and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab to make them stand out more. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.
To make this card, I stamped the “Give Thanks,” and floral cluster. I colored them using Copics in the following colors:
- Browns: E49, E47, E44, E43, E42, E57, E53
- Grays: W4, W2
- Yellows: YR27, YR24, Y19, Y15
- Greens: YG99, YG67, YG63, YG03
- Oranges: YR09, YR07, YR68, YR27, YR24, YR23
- White Gelly Roll Pen
I also cut the apple barrel pieces from kraft cardstock and colored them using the same browns listed above. I glued the pieces together and added foam tabs between the back and front barrel pieces to make it dimensional. I added the floral centerpiece above it using foam tabs, too.
For the front panel background, I used a beautiful teal with gold watercolor-inspired pattern paper from the Homestead Harvest Paper Pad. I attached barrel with floral centerpiece to the card front and attached the “Give Thanks” die cut above the floral centerpiece. I colored the florals in the scripted word design to match the centerpiece. Lastly, I added Harvest Pearl Stickers in gold to the front panel to accent the design.
