Hello Bee friends. I’m sharing a card using a Christmas stamp set to make a birthday card. My sister has a birthday on January 15 so I’m working a little ahead on my 2025 cards! I’m using the following Honey Bee Stamps products:

Christmas Joy stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Lovely Layers: Mini Holiday Florals Honey Cuts dies

Post Perfect stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies

Time to Go Honey Cuts dies

Postcard – Holiday-Add On Honey Cuts dies

Inside: Birthday Sentiments stamps and Honey Cuts dies

Gingham Happy Hearts pattern paper

Pearl Gem Stickers

For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.

Birthday Card

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the Christmas Joy stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies for the floral bouquet, larger postage frame, and the twenty cents image. I colored the florals using shades of red Copic markers including R89, R29, R27, R24, R22, R20, R17, and R14. I also used Copics YG67, YG25, YG17 and YG03 for the stems and leaves. I used the dies to cut out the florals and postage frame. For the large postage stamp, I used a gingham pattern paper from the Gingham Happy Hearts pattern paper for the backdrop of the florals. I attached the floral swag to the gingham background using Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab. I used three of them to make the bouquet stand out from its postage frame backdrop.

To add to the bouquet and make it more dimensional, I added greenery around the florals in greens and aquas. I cut the eucalyptus from aqua cardstock and the evergreen and leafy branch from a green cardstock. I used Copics to further enhance the color on the leaves, stems and branches. I glued them in place using Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue.

For the card front panel, I used the individual flowers in the Christmas Joy stamp set to stamp the florals in a very light pink ink. I layered a light aqua strip over the panel. I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor ink in black and a fan-shaped watercolor brush to splatter dots over the card base front and aqua strip. Next, I added a layer of pink cardstock. The pink shape was cut using the curvy frame from the Postcard – Holiday Add On Honey Cuts dies. It’s the inside throw away piece! While not wide enough to show on both vertical edges of the postage stamp, I simply offset it to show on the right side, only. Finally, the large, floral postage stamp was layered on top.

To finish the outside of this card, I stamped and attached the “Happy birthday” using the Inside: Birthday Sentiments stamps and Honey Cuts dies. I also added a smaller postage stamp over the larger one in the upper right corner. The postage stamp is from the Time to Go Honey Cuts dies. I stamped the inside piece of the postage stamp using an image from the Post Perfect stamp set. Pearl Gem Stickers in red and pink were added around the florals to accent them.

Inside the card, I stamped the floral bouquet from the Christmas Joy stamp set and the sentiment from the Inside: Birthday Sentiments stamps in black ink. I also splattered some watercolor ink over the inside.

Birthday Gift Tag

I made a coordinating gift tag using remnants from the card. I also used the December FREE BEE die set for the bow and white tag layer. The rest of the layers are from the card extras. I love that they are coordinating and so pretty for a birthday gal!
