Hello crafty friends! It’s Keiko from Happy Tree Studio today and I’m here to share this adorable halloween card with you all. I don’t really send out Halloween card, but that doesn’t stop me from using these fun Halloween themed die sets!
For the background, I decided to do a night sky. I inked an A2 sized card panel first with Broken China Distress Oxide Ink, and then added Blueprint Sketch on the bottom part. To add some spookiness to the scene, I lightly blended black ink on the top portion. To mimic the stars, I added white splatters using paint blush.
I then die cut all the elements from various card stocks including some velum (for the clouds) and felt (kitty and his hat). All the die sets have visual layering guide either come with the sets or downloadable from the Honey Bee Stamps shop site (they are pretty self explanatory so you might not need these guides). Here are the list of the sets I used:
Lovely Layers: Scaredy Cat (cat and his accessaries, bat, and big pumpkin)
Owlloween (Tree and clouds)
Lovely Layers: Front Porch Falloween (ghost, small pumpkin, small leaves)
Lovely Layers: Mini Fall Florals (large leaves)
For the large pumpkin, I added cat’s ears I die cut using the cat die to make it into a kitty pumpkin. The kitty was cut from white fuzzy textures card stock and I added black patches just like my cat using black Copic marker. I also added some gray marker details to some of the die cuts to add some dimensions. The sentiment is from Sweet Halloween stamp set and I white heat embossed it on a piece of teal card stock and die cut with the coordinating die.
After adhering all the elements with liquid glue and some foam adhesives, the card is done! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful week!!
