Happy Tuesday, Honey Bee friends!! I hope your week has started off well!! Brenda here with a fun Halloween card featuring the Lovely Layers: Front Porch Falloween Honey Cuts!! I’m always a HUGE fan of the add-ons for the Lovely Layers: Front Porch Die Set and this may be one of my faves!!

I started by die-cutting the base of my front porch from three shades of gray cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Front Porch Die Set. The doors, windows, fence, tree, light post, boards, jack-o-lantern, kitty, spider webs and ghost were die-cut from gray, green, purple, black, orange, yellow, brown and white cardstock using the Lovely Layers: Front Porch Falloween Die Set.

I used various colors of dye inks to “grunge” up the die-cuts and bring out the wood grain and details. I mostly used my fingers, but you can use sponge daubers if you don’t like to get your fingers inky. I used Beeluxe Blending Brushes to shade the outside of some of the die-cuts, but you want something firmer to glide over the top of the die-cuts to bring out the debossed lines so you can see those details.

All the die-cuts were adhered to the base with Bee Creative Glue, except the ghost, he was popped up with foam tape. I used one of the bat dies in the Happy Haunting Die Set to cut a bat from black cardstock and adhered him across the tree with Bee Creative Glue. The sentiment, from the Sweet Halloween Stamp Set, was stamped onto purple cardstock with Bee Creative Embossing Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The Coordinating Die was used to cut it out and it was popped up with foam tape. I added the eyes with a white gel pen, then colored over them with a green Copic marker. To finish, I colored a couple of gold pearls from the Harvest Pearl Sticker Pack with a brown Copic and adhered them to the doors.

I added a 4.25″ x 4.25″ note card to the back, so the card kept that great shape!!

This turned out even better than I pictured it in my head!! I LOVE it when that happens!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great week!!

Brenda
