Hi there! Emily Midgett here with you today sharing a southwestern-inspired project using our new No-Prob-llama stamp set and our new Bee Bold Alpha die set! I’m not normally much of a critter-lover, but I’m really enjoying the new critters from this release! They’re just so darn cute!
I began by doing some Oxide ink blending. I masked off the edges of a panel of white card stock using painter’s tape, then blended Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick, Carved Pumpkin, and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks into a sunset. I peeled away the masking tape, revealing a crisp white frame.
Next, I stamped a llama, party sombrero, and cactus from No Prob-llama on some watercolor paper using waterproof black ink. I then used my Zig markers and a damp paintbrush to do some watercoloring. I fussy cut the images out (but you could use the coordinating dies!) and turned my attention to the greeting.
I used the Bee Bold Alpha dies to die cut “Hola” from black card stock. I arranged it in a block on the card front and adhered it with liquid adhesive, then stamped the “party animal” from No Prob-llama using black ink. I added the llama, hat, and cactus using liquid and dimensional foam adhesive. The final step was to add some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the letter die cuts to add some extra texture.
Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you enjoyed my cheeky little desert sunset project! I love combining alphabet dies with sentiments from stamp sets to create a bold greeting on a card front. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a marvelous weekend!
