Die cutting watercolored panels
Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today with a sympathy card. It’s so difficult to create these when you actually need them, so I try to keep a stash on hand so that I don’t have to worry about it when I need one. Let’s get started on the details!
I wanted a solemn white card with just a pop of cheerful color, so I combined the Bunch of Bouquets with the With Sympathy stamps and dies. I started by creating some washes of watercolor using the Tropical Prima watercolors, then die cut the Bunch of Bouquets from the watercolored panels. I find that this is a quick way of creating colored die cuts without having to use 5 different kinds of colored card stock. You could also easily do this by blending some Oxide inks or your favorite type of dye ink.
I assembled the bouquet of flowers above a white vase using foam adhesive, then die cut four of the Sympathy dies and adhered them together to create a dimensional die cut sentiment. I added the rest of the sentiment using black ink.
The final step was to add some Moonlight Rhinestones just for a little subtle sparkle.
Well, that’s all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a marvelous weekend!
