Good morning! Emily Midgett here with you today. I’ve really been trying to build up my kid-friendly stash of cards, because it seems that every time my kiddos have a birthday party to go to, I am scrambling to find a card appropriate for the gender and age of the birthday boy/girl! I have vowed to build this stash up this summer, and the new critters from the most recent release are perfect to help me achieve my goal!

I began by die cutting and stamping a couple of the sweet little bugs from Little Ladies using Copic friendly black ink, then colored them with Copic markers. I also added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the wings to make them extra shiny.

As the bugs were drying, I did some die cutting to create my shaker and greeting. I first die cut a hexagon using the Hexagon Solid Stack dies from a panel of white A2 sized paper. Next, I die cut the Hooray from some polka dotted, white, and black paper and adhered them together. I added a panel of acetate behind the hexagon panel, then added foam tape to create the shaker.

I adhered my die cuts to the front of the shaker panel, then filled the shaker with some Galaxy sequins. What kid wouldn’t like a card that shakes and sparkles!?

Well, that’s all for me today! I hope you have a marvelous weekend!
