Hi there! Nichol here today with a snowman and coffee cups shaker card for Day 9 of the 12 Designers of Christmas event. My project features images from the fabulous Flakey Friends Stamp Set and coordinating Honey Cut dies and a greeting from the Flakey Sentiments Stamp Set. These are all on sale in the Honey Bee Stamps store, today only!
A simple coffee gift card attached to the inside of the card would make this a great holiday gift for a friend, teacher, or loved one!
I stamped the snowman, hat, and scarf from the Flakey Friends Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I also stamped the coffee cups from Flakey Friends with rainbow colors of ink and die cut all the images with the coordinating Flakey Friends Dies. I added a touch of shimmery sparkle of the band on the hat, the coffee cups, and the scarf with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker. I emphasized the eyes of the snowman with a black glaze pen.
I die cut a background and frame for my shaker from watercolor cardstock and stamped snowflakes from Flakey Friends and Flakey Sentiments on the inside rectangle background using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I stamped the snowy landscape along the bottom edge of the panel and masked the area off before adding Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to the background and frame with Ink Blending Tools. The embossed areas resist the ink leaving a pretty blue sky with falling snowflakes.
I adhered the snowman and coffee cups to the background as shown.
I stamped a greeting from the Flakey Sentiments Stamp Set on a piece of acetate using StazOn Jet Black Ink. I love for my greetings to be on the window of my shaker cards so that they can be read even when the shaker if filled
I assembled the shaker and filled it with Ice Chips Glitter and Clear Bitty Beads. I secured a few Diamonds to the front of the acetate window with Ranger Multi Medium to complete the snowy shaker scene!
Thanks so much for joining me today and a huge thank you to Honey Bee for having me! Happy Holidays!
