Zen Floral : Zen coloring
Hello HoneyBee fans! It’s LauraJane:) I’m sharing a card that started by stamping a pattern and then NOT knowing what to do with it when finished. Many days I sit down with a stamp set without a plan. THIS was one of those days:)) Follow along and see where it goes!
As you can see in this first photo, I’m using the NEW Zen Floral set.. Hello! SWOONING over these sweet images!! Of course I went straight for that tiny Bonnet looking bloom at the top. (It reminds me of my favorite yellow hat:))
On a white A2 sized CS I drew a 1″ grid with the Tim Holtz ruler and Distress markerThen I stamped a pattern of blooms, leaves and tiny clusters in these distress inks…not to worry about the missed inkling on that one bloom.I re-inked the bloom stamp with two shades of Zig Clean Color markers and carefully lined up and re-stamped each bloom. And now I added a bit of h20 with a water brush and finished coloring all the images with the Ziggys.
I had so much fun coloring, I made another panel with a slightly different pattern:)))Two panels and NO plan:))) I trimmed them down and set them aside for a THINK.
Final card Reveal:))
- I used one panel and mounted it to a card base that was lined with washi at the edges.
- Added a strip of Black polka-dot paper and Gold thread.
- Stamped and Fussy cut PRAYING from the PRAYER stamp set. ( Looking forward to owning the Honey Cuts Prayers Die) and placed it ontop with Tombow Stamp Runner.
- Finished the sentiment and fussy cut a small blue cluster and stuck it beneath the FOR YOU.
I’m happy with how this turned out:)
Hope it inspires you to Jump in and create Even if you don’t have a plan!
