Using The Same Stamp For Background and Focus
Hi there sweet honey bees and happy Tuesday!
Today I have a sweet card that uses some of the same stamps as a background as well as the main image.
I created the background by stamping the large detailed flower from ‘Cherish’ repeatedly all over my card blank in a light blue ink. I just love the way it looks and it adds so much interest to the card without taking any of the focus away from the main focus.
I then stamped the solid piece for the large flower onto some card using the same blue ink, and then added some darker blue only to the edges of the stamp and stamped directly over the same image. This gave me darker edges to the solid image. I then took the detailed image for the flower (the one I used for the background) and stamped this over the solid blue image in black.
I did the same for the leaves- I first stamped the solid leaf shape in a light green, inked the image up again only adding the darker green to to edges then stamped over the lighter green image. Then took the leaf detail stamp and stamped this over in black ink.
The sentiment is from ‘Not Too Shabby’.
Thanks for stopping by!
