Today I have a fun thankful card to share with you. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. A time where we should be showing our gratitude to our loved ones even more. I think this card is a perfect fit for Thanksgiving and reminding our friends how much they mean to us.
To make this inlay card I started with a piece of watercolor cardstock. I blended some fall ink colors onto the cardstock and spritzed it a bit with a shimmer spray. After it was dry I spread on some embossing paste that I mixed using Nuvo Mousse, Bo Bunny Glitter paste, and translucent embossing paste through a Tim Holtz stencil.
I cut my leaf-stenciled panel to fill 2/3rds of the four bar card and another piece of orange shimmer cardstock to about 3/4 of an inch.I temporarily adhered both pieces to a piece of typing paper cut to a four bar card panel.
I placed my Thank and ful dies (from the Thanks and Giving die set) where I wanted them in the card and ran though my big shot cutting machine. I was careful to save the negative pieces. I then cut out the thanks and ful again but this time with gold foil cardstock.
I removed the white paper from both panels and adhered to a brown cardstock panel. I fit the gold foil die cuts in between the two panel pieces, gluing them inside for a snug fit. Then I placed the negative pieces from the first die cutting I did back into the newly finished card panel.
I stamped “for our friendship” from the thanks and giving stamp set below the Thankful sentiment. On the inside of the card I stamped a leaf from the Essentials by Ellen Thankful stamp set, several times with Delicata golden glitz pigment ink.
And that completed my card.
I love how it turned out and I hope my friend does too! Why not send your friends and family a card to tell them how thankful you are for them too!
