Masculine Anniversary Card
Happy Saturday Crafty Bees! This weekend I am celebrating 9 years together and 3 years married with my amazing husband! I used Honey Bee Stamps new sets Cherish and Thanks (from the incredibly versatile Simple Sentiments line) to create a masculine anniversary card for him.
I created a background panel by using a wood grain embossing folder and inking with a sponge tool to make the texture pop. I used pale green paper to stamp the different leaves from the Cherish stamp set to create my own patterned paper strip for behind the thank you sentiment circle and matted that onto darker green paper and inked all my edges. I used the large thank you sentiment on a punched circle, matted and cut with decorative scissors in a scallop. I punched a second smaller circle to use for the rest of the phrase “for your love” with some of the little words from the set. I repeated some of the leaf stamps on my sentiment circles, and tied the green paper strip with some jute twine to add to the rustic masculine theme.
Now I just have to write the message inside before he gets home from work! I hope that you enjoyed my idea for taking the floral and butterfly sets from gorgeous and girly to masculine and rustic…it’s all about color and texture!
