Giving New Life to Your PL Cards
Hey there, Treasa here with my first blog post for Honey Bee Stamps. If you are like me you have a stack of Project Life kits that are just collecting dust. I decided I need to start using these kits again and thought to myself what can I do to make them up my own. Ta da!!! The idea came to me and it is as simple as stamping, that’s it.
First I grabbed my Sunshine kit on the shelf and went through the cards and picked out 3 cards to use. I love this kit but I find it could use some “ummph”.
The first card I chose was this greenish yellow card that says life is crazy. Now I love the saying on the card but wanted to do something to make it stand out more. I decided to add the word beautiful and a heart from the Beautiful Life stamp set and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I totally love how this turned out and was so simple to do. But i think it changed the card quite a bit.
For my second card I chose the card with the black hearts. I think its a great background but I needed to add a pop of color to it. So using the You are Loved and a heart from the Beautiful Life stamp set I created my pop of color. First one thing I love about the Honey Bee stamp sets is that you can purchase the svg files to go along with the stamps. I used the cut file for the You are Loved and created my base to stamp on . Then I did the same thing with the heart stamp.
And my last card I choose specifically for the Throw Kindness around Like Confetti stamp from the Beautiful Life stamp set as well. This card just screamed confetti to me. I also used the svg files to create a base and a mat for me to stamp my sentiment on. I also used the small circle stamp from the kit to add some pop of gold using gold embossing powder.
Well I hope this inspires you to pull out some of those kits and start creating some cards that are you own. Until next time.
