Custom Die Cut Background | Hug In A Mug
Hello friends! Nichol here today with a quick and easy way to create your own custom background for a card with die cuts. I used mug dies from the Tea Tim Die Collection to create this custom die cut background from cardstock. A Perfect Blend greeting stamped and embossed on vellum was the perfect finishing touch for this clean and simple card.
Mugs from the Tea Tim Die Collection were die cut from pinks, reds, and aqua cardstocks and adhered to a white A2 piece of white cardstock as shown. The entire background was filled in to give the look of a mug patterned paper background.
A vellum rectangle was die cut using the smallest A2 Double Stitched Rectangle Die. Greetings from the Perfect Blend stamp set were stamped on the rectangle with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. To hide the adhesive, the entire rectangle was run through a Xyron Sticker Maker and adhered over the background.
The background panel was adhered to a white top fold card base to finish the design.
